Advising

Our advising team supports the academic, career, and personal development of every VEGA Academy student.

What our advisors do:

  • Connect students and families with community resources
  • Lead Grade 9 transition planning and new student registrations
  • Host pathway planning sessions and information events
  • Track student achievement from enrolment through graduation
  • Guide each transition into post-secondary destinations

Pathway Plan

Our Pathway Plan is a structured academic and career roadmap built for each VEGA Academy student.

What our advisors do:

Our Guidance Counsellor works with the student and their parents to develop the plan. Each Pathway Plan directs the student toward graduation and their career goals

What the plan includes:

  • Course types and program selections suited to the student’s goals
  • Learning opportunities that prepare students for post-secondary studies
  • Long-range academic planning with direct faculty guidance
  • Consistent support across all years of secondary school

Homestay

Homestay offers an experience that is not available in standard student accommodation.

What homestay provides:

Students live with a local family in their home rather than alongside other students. The arrangement gives students direct exposure to local culture and daily life in the city.
