International Business University is VEGA Academy’s academic partner — a not-forprofit, degree-granting university in downtown Toronto focused exclusively on business and innovation.
IBU prepares students for the future of work through small-class learning, mentorship, and a curriculum developed with employer insight.
VEGA Academy students benefit from early exposure to IBU through mentorship, campus activities, and dual-credit courses that allow them to experience university-style learning before graduation.
Undergraduate Degree Programs at IBU
4-Year Degree program that can be completed in under 3 years. Students may choose one of three forward-looking specializations:
Business Management
Digital Sales and Marketing Management
International Management and Technology
Each program combines academic excellence with real-world relevance, emphasizing innovation, leadership, and practical experience. IBU’s strong links with employers, small-classes mode (35 students maximum), and personalized academic support help students transition seamlessly from high school to higher education, and from education to employment.
VEGA Academy graduates continuing their studies at IBU will find a familiar, caring environment where their curiosity, discipline, and creativity are nurtured and celebrated.
Mentorship- IBU North Stars:
Each VEGA Academy student is paired with an IBU North Star, an IBU student, who serves as their guide and support along the way. Just like the real North Star that helps travellers find their direction, an IBU North Star helps VEGA Academy students find theirs. They offer guidance, encouragement, and insight into life in Canada and what it means to grow as a learner and global citizen.
Tutoring & Academic Support:
When additional academic help is needed, students will not only have help from VEGA Academy teachers, but they will also have access to a network of IBU student tutors who can provide subject-specific guidance. This collaboration reinforces IBU’s strong culture of peer tutoring and empowers VEGA Academy students to take ownership of their learning and gives them a chance to learn directly from university peers who understand what it takes to succeed academically.
