At 9:05 a.m., students begin their Morning Academic Block — two 75-minute periods separated by a short break.

With small class sizes and a personalized learning approach, students benefit from meaningful interactions with teachers, individualized support, and opportunities to develop critical thinking and independent learning skills. Our flexible structure allows students to engage deeply with course content  rather than simply moving from class to class. 

At 11:40 a.m., students enjoy lunch and social time, building friendships and a sense of community within a welcoming and inclusive school environment.

The Afternoon Academic Block begins at 12:20 p.m. with two further 75-minute periods, continuing the focus on academic achievement and student growth.

Throughout the year, students also participate in special IBU Days, where learning extends beyond the VEGA Academy classroom. Students may attend university lectures, workshops, networking events, guest speaker sessions, and campus activities at International Business University (IBU), giving them valuable exposure to post-secondary expectations and helping them confidently envision their future pathways.

From 3:15 to 4:30 p.m., the day closes with the fifth period: 

• Supervised study and academic support Monday through Thursday, and 
• Check-ins on Fridays.
• Physical Education for Brazilian students

This dedicated time provides opportunities for one-on-one assistance with teachers, peer tutoring, assignment completion, and academic enrichment.

Through VEGA Academy's affiliation with IBU, students may also receive tutoring and mentorship from IBU students, creating meaningful connections with current university learners while strengthening their own academic skills.

Every aspect of the VEGA Academy day is intentionally designed to combine personalized learning, strong student support, and early university exposure. The result is an educational experience that helps students build confidence, achieve academic success, and prepare for a smooth transition to post-secondary education.
