Why the Future Builder Summer Program

At VEGA Academy, summer is a chance to learn differently. The Future Builder program is for aspiring leaders and entrepreneurs, built around personalized experiences, real mentorship, and a city full of examples to learn from.

Hands-On, Not Just Hands-Up

Students learn by doing; by working in small teams on real projects, they gain valuable entrepreneurship and leadership skills.

Toronto Is Part of the Classroom

Mornings build core skills in our downtown Toronto classroom. Afternoons take students out into the city to see real workplaces, institutions, and ideas in action.

WEEKLY SCHEDULE

Classes in the morning.
The city in the afternoon.

Students start the day building core skills in entrepreneurship, leadership, and career readiness. Those skills are put into practice in the city to end each day.

Before the program starts, students join a virtual “VEGA Academy Ready” pre-arrival session, then arrive in Toronto ahead of Monday’s welcome and orientation.

Between Week 1 and Week 2, every student also receives their choice of a free pass to one of the Toronto Zoo, the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO), or a City Cruise.

What You Will Learn

The Future Builder program is built around four integrated themes: entrepreneurship, leadership, career readiness, and the future of work where each is one taught through a live project, not a textbook.

Entrepreneurship & Leadership
THEME 01

Entrepreneurship & Leadership

Career Readiness

THEME 02

Career Readiness

Students build practical workplace skills; communication, collaboration, and problem-solving that carry into future jobs, applications, and everyday life.

Toronto

Toronto as a Living Classroom

Downtown Toronto is Future Builder’s second classroom. Between lessons, students step outside to see entrepreneurship and leadership at work; building real context for what they’re learning inside the classroom.
