A Formalized Affiliation
International Business University (IBU) is an independent, not-for-profit university in Toronto that has received ministerial consent to operate in Ontario. VEGA Academy’s affiliation gives students structured access to university-level learning through dual-credit Grade 12 courses and provides entry to IBU for qualifying graduates.
From VEGA Academy to IBU
VEGA Academy graduates who meet IBU’s admission criteria are guaranteed direct entry to IBU programs. Students who enter with dual transfer credits may begin their undergraduate studies with advanced standing.
Dual Credit Opportunities
Certain VEGA Academy courses carry dual transfer credit with IBU, allowing students to earn both an OSSD credit and an IBU first-year credit in the same course.

Enroll at VEGA Academy
Students begin their OSSD at VEGA Academy through a quarterly intensive model. From day one, every course is designed around the academic expectations of first-year university.
Meet Threshold
Through sustained inquiry, evidence-based reasoning, and structured academic writing practiced across every course, students build the foundations that IBU’s academic programs expect.
Dual Credits
Grade 12 students can enroll in up to six dual-credit courses, subject to the Principal’s approval, earning both OSSD credits and IBU first-year credits simultaneously.
Graduate from VEGA Academy
VEGA Academy graduates who meet IBU admission requirements benefit from a seamless transition to university studies. Students who earn dual transfer credits may begin their degree with advanced standing and a head start on their academic journey.
